Duggan & Pawlowski LLP Receives 2013 Clean Air Coalition Unsung Hero Award
On May 9, 2013, Jim and Neil accepted the 2013 “Unsung Hero Award” at the Clean Air Coalition of WNY’s Fourth Annual Dinner for successfully defending the Clean Air Coalition when Tonawanda Coke demanded nearly every document, record and correspondence the organization has created or received.
Among other recipients for this award were Ron LaBuda for his leadership in the fight against the Amigone’s crematory that was spewing human ash into his neighborhood and Rebecca Soto for her leadership in the fight for clean air and healthier children around the Peace Bridge Plaza.

Tonawanda News — BUFFALO — A state Supreme Court judge ruled in favor of the Clean Air Coalition, effectively quashing a subpoena by lawyers representing Tonawanda Coke, the corporation being sued for allegedly emitting dangerous chemicals into the air and soil.

Tonawanda Coke Corp. owner James D. Crane for years has refused to meet with or speak to the Clean Air Coalition of western New York, which has waged a grassroots campaign against the company for several years.
